The international student community at Columbia College, whose
present population is 230 from 45 countries worldwide, is
represented by four recognized student clubs and organization.
Presently, there is only one recognized international student
group namely:
- International
Student Organization
ISO
Profile: Welcome to the International Student Organizations
at Columbia College Chicago.
The purpose of The International Student Organization is to:
- foster
academic and co-curriculum activities, events and programs
for foreign students studying at Columbia College,
- help
acclimatize new and on-going students to college environment,
- development
on and off campus programs with an aim of fostering better
scholarly opportunities for prospective foreign students
to Columbia College, and
- encourage
participation of Columbia College students in all or most
of ISO - Columbia College events and many other academic
related opportunities as desired.
Membership: Membership in ISO - Columbia College
is open to all Columbia College students unless otherwise
amended in this constitution through an executive committee.
Officers:
The executive Committee of ISO consist of an Executive President,
a vice president, a secretary general, an editor-in chief
for The Columbia Passport (formerly known as The Foreign and
or International Spotlight Newsletter) and a treasurer (or
funds director). Further, the management team of ISO
- Columbia College shall consist of three SOC representatives
and an advisory committee of five members.
