Presently, the International Students Affairs Office does not have any established or designated scholarships for international students. However, the Unit has acquired resources such as "The Scholarship Book" that is available for our students willing to search every offered areas to see whether they meet the given requirements for each available scholarship.

On the other hand, Columbia College Chicago offers a variety of scholarships at the undergraduate level for current and prospective Columbia College students.

Scholarships offered are based on one or more of the following criteria: financial need, academic merit, field (area) of study and accomplishments. Various scholarship applications may be accessed via the web site as noted, while others may be obtained by calling the department sponsoring the scholarship. Scholarships are classified according to student status, i.e. freshman, transfer, or continuing or whether they are general or departmental.

--Freshman refers to a student entering Columbia College for the first time; in most cases, freshman students have not earned previous college credit.

Some scholarship programs, however, will consider freshman with up to 12 earned college credit hours from an accredited college/university.

--Transfer refers to a student who is transferring from an accredited college/university for the first time.

--Continuing refers to a student who is currently attending Columbia College and has completed at least one semester.

Scholarships for "New Students" are designed for those applicants who are either at a Freshman or Transfer level student status. Scholarships for "Continuing Students" are divided into general or departmental. General category is for students studying any major at Columbia College and departmental is for a specific area of study.
